Cephalotaxus harringtonia ‘Fastigiata’, commonly known as Japanese Plum Yew, is a slow-growing upright evergreen prized for its dense columnar shape and rich dark green foliage. Growing 8–10 feet tall and 3–5 feet wide, it is perfect for hedges, foundation plantings, and shaded garden accents. Its unique bottlebrush-like needles provide year-round texture and winter interest.
This hardy evergreen thrives in part shade to full shade and adapts well to moist, well-drained soil. It is heat tolerant, moderately drought resistant once established, and highly resistant to pests and diseases, making it an excellent low-maintenance landscape plant.
